This beautify and graceful flyer with nine-foot wing span winters along the Gulf Coast and southern California, migrates far north and spends summers in the northern US and Canada. Many flocks of white pelicans are seen throughout Florida in the winter, and these particular birds were seen flying over Felts Audubon Preserve in Palmetto, Florida.The dramatic black in the wings is seen only when flying. This image shows a pair of these monogamous birds.
